A QUIZMASTER from Clacton has raised more than £5,000 last year for worthy causes by hosting a series of quizzes.
Adrian Robinson, of the Clacton Lions, has raised more than £87,500 over the years by hosting quiz nights – and is getting ready for another busy year.
Mr Robinson writes and hosts the quiz nights and all cash is donated to local charities.
“A total of eight public quizzes are planned for 2013,” he said.
“The first of these takes place on February 15 for the Clacton Carnival Association.
“This is followed by a quiz for the Teenage Cancer Trust on April19.
“Seven of the quizzes will take place in St James’s Church Hall in Tower Road, Clacton, while the Christmas quiz will be at the Princes Theatre on behalf of the charity appeal by next year’s Tendring Council chairman.
“Another quiz sheet is planned to be released in July and the Lions will announce the charity to be supported in due course.”
The cost of entering each quiz is £3.50 per person, with teams of four to six people.
Doors open at 7.30 pm and quizzes starts at 8.00 pm.
To enter any of the quizzes call 01255 426262 or go to quizline.org.uk.
