FARMERS are calling for fresh thinking from the Government after poor weather led to an agricultural black hole.
The National Farmers’ Union estimates farmers across the country have lost £1.3 billion due to extreme drought and flooding during 2012.
The body, which has hundreds of members across Essex, says the Government should begin to support its farmers more as hostile weather increases.
