New owner appeal for three-legged cat

A THREE-LEGGED cat is in need of a new home after being found roaming the streets on Christmas Day.

The black moggy has been named Elf by staff at the RSPCA, where she is being cared for.

The cat was found with a badly injured by a member of the public on Christmas Day.

One of her legs was so badly damaged she will have to have it amputated in the next few days.

It is expected Elf will be ready to be re-homed in about a fortnight once the stitches have been removed.

RSPCA manager Anne Clarke said the cat, aged about eight months, was found roaming in the Old Road area of Clacton.

Mrs Clarke said: “She is eating us out of house and home so has not been fed properly for a while and she was covered in ticks as well, so is being treated for those.”
