A PUB is celebrating a fundraising night which raised more than £2,000.
Essex Air Ambulance is now £2,200 richer following the charity disco, karaoke auction and raffle held at the Kings Head in Brightlingsea.
Pub regulars Debbie Joyce and partner Mark Boldan initially planned just to hold a charity disco organised by his brother Mike, an experienced DJ who was visiting from Yorkshire.
But they decided to expand the event with fancy dress, a raffle, karaoke and more, and collected 55 prizes from local businesses to boost the fund.
Miss Joyce said: “The Air Ambulance is vital to Essex. It’s a charity that needs all the publicity and support it can get.
“It truly was an event that was supported by all and the results speak for themselves.”
