Ambulance crews are being inundated with calls about road crashes caused by drivers not allowing for the extreme condtions.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, said: “We are urging drivers to allow plenty of time for travelling and watch your speed.
“Simple tips such as allow plenty of time for braking, drive safely and pay attention for motorcyclists and pedestrians. This will help you arrive at your destination safely.”
