Tendring CAB set for royal visit this week
9:00am Tuesday 27th November 2012 in News By James Dwan
VOLUNTEERS at Clacton’s Citizens Advice Bureau are making final preparations for a royal visit this week.
Princess Anne will be visiting the headquarters of Tendring Citizens Advice Bureau, in Carnarvon Road, on Thursday to celebrate its successful Reach Out Project.
The innovative scheme was launched three years ago and sees advisers knock on doors in deprived areas, including Jaywick’s Brooklands estate.
It is aimed at reducing health inequalities and improve vulnerable people’s quality of life and has been recognised as a example of “best practice” in both the UK and Europe.
The Princess Royal, patron of the Citizens Advice Bureau, is set to meet with staff and volunteers, as well as Clacton MP Douglas Carswell and representatives from Tendring Council.
