Four bailed for allegedly assisting Jay Whiston's killer

FOUR people accused of assisting a murder suspect have been released on police bail.

Police arrested a 51-year-old man, an 18-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman from Colchester and a 17-year-old girl from Clacton in a dawn raid yesterday.

They are suspected of assisting an offender suspected of murdering Jay Whiston, a 17-year-old stabbed to death outside a house party in Marlowe Way.

Five people are due to answer bail for the murder of Jay, of Aster Close, Clacton, next week.

The investigation continues.
