Event to boost Tendring tourism
5:30pm Friday 9th November 2012 in News
AN event has been launched to help boost tourism in Tendring.
Business bosses and tourism leaders across the district have been invited to the event in Clacton.
It has been organised to discuss the past year and identify areas where improvements can be made to boost tourism next year.
The event will be hosted by Tendring Council at the Princes Theatre in Clacton on December 6, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Council deputy leader Peter Halliday said: “We need to work together to strengthen this industry which employs around 15 per cent of the workforce in Tendring.
“It is important to learn from the past and come up with a plan for the future which will take us forward pulling in the same direction.”
Anyone in the tourism industry who wants to attend should contact Louise Parkes by November 23 on 01255 686668 or lparkes@tendringdc.gov.uk.

The town is full off drunks drinking hard lager, I thought that was illegal but has been going on for years, spitting and foul language
And to top it all the douser who has set up home at the end off oxford road, did he need planning permission , I don’t give a dam about there hard luck or how tough it is out there same for everyone, get rid off em

If you go to Gt Yarmouth, Southend hell anywhere you have to pay to park along the seafront, and to be honest I expect to pay
I will never understand that we don’t have metres even if it is just for the summer we could always have concessions for locals
But I tell you now people who arrive here in cars bring there own food I know because I have seen the rubbish they leave,
They come park for free spend nothing in the town and go home leaving all there crap behind them
So fact they cost money
