Little Holland care home cook competes in national final

A CARE home chef took on some of the top cooks from around the country in a national competition.

The cook-off was set up to pit chefs from Care UK care homes across the country against each other.

Malcolm Tedder from Little Holland Hall care home made it through to the Masterchef-style final after acing the preliminary round.

Malcolm took part in the grand final on October 25, facing three other regional winners from other care homes.

He now faces a nervous wait to see how he fared, with the results being kept under wraps until Care UK’s awards ceremony in two weeks.

Little Holland Hall manager Pauline Goh said: “Malcolm is a great chef. He is dedicated and enthusiastic and he spends a great deal of time chatting to residents to get to know their likes and dislikes.

“We have all got our fingers crossed for him for the cook-off.”

Well done Malcolm. I bet the residents are well looked after and they will all be routing for you.
