Poppy shop opens in Clacton

THE Royal British Legion poppy shop has opened in Clacton.
It is being run from a shop on Jackson Road, which has been used over the last few months as Tendring Council’s pop-up shop.
People will be able to buy wreaths, poppies and crosses from the shop, from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
Jamie Robinson from Clacton’s British Legion branch said: “We are just outside the town centre so we want to advertise the shop as much as possible and get lots of people coming in.”
Poppy boxes and tins are also being distributed to local shops and restaurants.
