Tendring scouts receive prestigious award

BOY scouts from Tendring have received a prestigious scouting award.
Beaver scouts, cub scouts and scouts from Dovercourt, Clacton, Thorpe, Holland and Parkeston received Chief Scout Award certificates in a presentation at Barleylands, near Billericay earlier this month.
Brian Mayo, group scout leader of the 1st and 2nd Parkeston Scout Group, said each member had earn a sufficient number badges to receive the award.
He said: “These skills are very important life skills.
“It made me very proud to see them achieve this because they worked hard for it."
