Seasiders end the season in style
FC Clacton finished their Ridgeons League division one campaign in style with a 4-1 thumping of Thetford on Saturday.
Liam Springett grabbed two goals via a free-kick and penalty, with the others coming from Paul Hillier and Michael Lyness.
Boss David Coyle told the Gazette: "It was a great performance and perfect way to end the season.
"We played some really good stuff and had other chances to score even more than four.
"Given that we had nothing to play for, it was good to see the boys work so hard, pass the ball well and win comfortably. I was very pleased."
Springett's double gave the Seasiders a 2-0 lead at the break and, although the visitors pulled one back, it was still a straightforward victory for the Tendring side.
