THERE is an Easter feast of classical music this Saturday as Clacton Choral Society performs work by Bach.
The concert stars soprano Heather Attwell-Davis, tenor Daniel Joy and baritone Peter Grevatt.
The first half is purely Bach, opening with the Little Fugue in G minor played by Paul Siddall, followed by choir and soloists performing extracts from the St John Passion, and the composer's arrangement of Palm Sunday hymn All Glory Laud and Honour.
The second half opens with Malcolm Williamson's Procession of Psalms, before Alan Bullard's Wondrous Cross which has congregational hymns interspersed between the solo and choral works.
The evening features organist Stephen Smith and is conducted by musical director Gilli Dulieu.
The concert is at St James' Church, Tower Road, from 7.30pm. Tickets are £8, including programme, on the door or on 01255 221511.
