SOME of the catchiest music ever penned gets an airing with an homage to one of the greatest popular composers of the 20th Century.

Now 88, Burt Bacharach wrote stacks of iconic hits which have easily withstood the test of time.

The legendary songsmith won six Grammy and three Academy awards over his long and illustrious career.

He scored more than 70 top 40 hits in the USA and over 50 here in the UK, and his work has been recoded by recorded by some of the biggest names in showbiz including Cilla Black, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Gene Pitney, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and the Beatles.

Kansas City-born Bacharach wrote from the late 1950s through to the 1980s, with many lyrics written by Hal David.

Classic tracks include Magic Moments, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, 24 Hours from Tulsa, Always Something There To Remind Me, What the World Needs Now Is Love, Do You Know The Way To San Jose?, Anyone Who Had a Heart, Alfie, Close to You, What's New Pussycat? and Walk On By.

Back to Bacharach is two hours of timeless masterpieces performed by three West End vocalists and a ten-piece live band.
