HE’S been crowned the hardest-working man in showbiz, and perennial favourite Joe Longthorne is back on the road this week with his new No Regrets tour.
The talented entertainer started his career more than three decades ago.
Born in Kingston-upon-Hull to musical parents, he enjoyed appearances on Junior Showtime, followed by a grounding on the tough northern club circuit.
But his big break came in 1981 when he was a finalist on London Weekend Television’s Search For A Star.
His endless repertoire of voices includes hundreds of the world’s top singers, but he is perhaps best known for his impression of Shirley Bassey who famously said: “Joe can do me better than I can do myself!”
His latest tour kicked off two weeks ago.
Joe Longthorne is at Clacton’s Princes Theatre this Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21 (£19.50 concessions) on 01255 686633.
