THE effortlessly cool sounds and style of the Rat Pack will help audiences swing into Christmas at the Princes Theatre in Clacton.

Now in their 15th year of performing, the original tribute to Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davies Junior and Dean Martin has put together a festive show sure to delight new and old fans of the superstars.

The Rat Pack used to rule the roost of the entertainment world with countless hit records and box office smash films, such as Ocean’s Eleven and Robin and the Seven Hoods.

David Alacey, who plays Sinatra, said: “I’m thrilled that after performing this show for so many years, we are still able to come out on top, bringing a timeless act to a new generation.

“I grew up listening to Frank, Dean and Sammy, and I get a buzz to think that our showwill help to continue the tradition.”

Buddy Greco, who was a running mate of the legendary trio, has endorsed the show.

He said: “I can honestly say having toured with these guys, they are as close as anyone will ever get to my dear friends – Frank, Dean and Sammy.

“At times, it was just like being back with my pals at The Sands in the Sixties – so much fun, and it really doesn’t get any better than that. As for David Alacey – well this guy really is Sinatra – it’s frightening.”

Among the classic tracks in the show are Ain’t That A Kick In The Head, The Lady Is A Tramp and My Way, along with festive favourites such as The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, The Christmas Song and Marshmallow World.

Tickets for Saturday’s show cost £18.50 and £17 concessions, on 01255 686633 or at essex-live.co.uk
