I loved the first Supreme Commander and this one is even better. This is a real time strategy game that set the world alight.

It was complex and hard to get in to. Some of the controls were awkward to use, like the ones to use the transport ships.

This is now much easier with the second try.

The developers have done a great job in refining many of those niggles, and they have put in bigger more detailed explosions. Which is nice.

Several factions are still doing battle across the universe, and this time on the campaign, it gets all jumbled up. I won't give anything away, but expect some unexpected twists. Woo, bet you can't wait now.

Like so many, this game lives and dies in the skirmish and multiplayer modes, and Supreme Commander 2 doesn't let us down.

Skirmish is a tad easier, so the battles are a little more fun, and as always, the online crowds learn so darn fast, it's hard to find a game where your opponent is as bad as you are. So, get better then.

As before, the battles can be enormous and spread over massive maps, or intense in tiny ones. There is plenty of variety in them too, and I am sure more maps will trot along in the future too.
