A HISTORIC tower has opened its doors to visitors again for the summer.

Walton's 18th Century Naze Tower is promising three exhibitions featuring almost 40 artists this year.

The spring exhibition sees solo show by artists Heidi Meier and David Marshall, who grew up in Walton and was inspired by its countryside.

The mixed show includes ceramics by Louise Pettersson, photography by Dave Clarke and marine biologist Sara Wordley, and Lynette Singers' still life and landscape pastels and prints.

Sculptures and atmospheric landscapes by Wivenhoe's Fiona Harmon and Jane Watson are inspired by the River Colne.

The tower is open every day from 10am to 5pm. Admission is £3 (£2.50 concessions, £2 children). Entry to the tearooms is free.
