THE astonishing rise to power of Donald Trump means there's never been a better time to be a US comedian in the UK.

Funnyman Rich Hall casts a wry over the twists and turns of the Donald's presidency in a new show coming to Clacton next month.

The grouchy comic's wry dismantling of the tenuous relationship between the UK and America is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever.

And he launches into a withering dissection of Trump’s America before ending up in a celebration of Americana.

There is absurdist irony, rapid-fire wit, improvised ballads and cracking good musicianship with his Hoedown band.

Rich's deadpan humour has delighted viewers of Have I Got News For You, QI, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Stand Up For The Week and Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive.

Most recently he's been seen on the critically acclaimed BBC documentaries Rich Hall’s Countrier Than You and Rich Hall’s Presidential Grudge Match, as well as presenting Rich Hall’s (US Election) Breakdown on Radio 4.

Rich Hall’s Hoedown comes to the West Cliff Theatre on November 4 at 8pm. Tickets are £18 fromthe box office on 01255 433344.
