ACTOR and Celebrity Big Brother star Christopher Biggins entertains Clacton Arts and Lits Society on Monday night.

The national treasure and panto grand dame has appeared in countless TV dramas and comedies, as well as on stage and in film.

He starred as Lukewarm in Porridge, was a Transylvanian in 1975's The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Emperor Nero in the BBC's award-winning ‘I Claudius’ and played the wicked vicar in the original Poldark.

Other TV appearances include The Likely Lads, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, the Ronnie Barker Show and Shoestring.

He enjoyed a year with the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearing alongside Judi Dench and Donald Sinden, and was even crowned King Of The Jungle in I’m A Celebrity - Get Me Out Of Here.

Biggins has also racked up numerous pantomime appearances and appeared in the West End was as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium.

He is at Clacton's Princes Theatre on February 27 at 7.30pm.

Tickets go on sale to the public on the door at 7.15pm, priced £10.
