A SPECIAL Remembrance Day concert strikes up at Clacton’s West Cliff Theatre on Sunday afternoon**13***to raise funds for two local forces charities.
The players of Clacton Concert Orchestra with leader Ruth Baker and conductor Francis Garland are busy preparing for their annual Remembrance Sunday concert which will include compères Bob and Reg Young and special guests The Cavender Singers.
The programme includes British Grenadiers March, Colonel Bogey, and March Militaire, the Folk Song Suite and extracts from HMS Pinafore, and the perennial favourites Nimrod, Jerusalem, the refrain I Vow to the My Country and ending with Pomp & Circumstance No.1 Land of Hope and Glory.
