World acclaimed directror Sir Jonathan Miller appears in Clacton

CLACTON welcomes one of the world’s most prominent theatre and opera directors Sir Jonathan Miller.

Sir Jonathan Miller who has carved out a successful career as a satirist, presenter, author and sculptor as well as a director will be at the Princes Theatre on Monday ***15*** where he will be talking as the guest of the town’s Arts and Literary Society.

Sir Jonathan Miller first came to prominence 48 years ago with his British comedy stage revue Beyond the Fringe which he wrote and performed with Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Alan Bennett.

Even though he had never seen an opera nor read music he started stage directing operas in the 1970s and since then has become of the the world’s leading opera directors.
