A CONCERT for Obama charting the Presidents journey to the White House is being staged at Walton’s Columbine Centre.
The concert in words and music includes readings by best selling author Anthony Painter who has written Barack Obama: Movement for Change.
The concert is fundraising for the Frinton Literary Festival which will be held in the genteel coastal resort in September.
The concert is being given by the Colchester based community choir Quire on Saturday ***February 13*** at 7.15pm.The choir with some 70 male and female members sing a range of world music in many languages in four part harmony.
They will be performing an exciting programme of music to reflect Obama’s diverse background- son of a black African father and white American mother brought up in Hawaii who spent his childhood in Indonesia.
Anthony Painter who has written his book about the visionary leader will talk and also read from his text.
Tickets for the concert are £10 and students £5.
