MOTHS and butterflies by day and night are two special guided safaris planned in a lovely riverside wood.
Some of Britain’s most spectacular moths can be found in in the RSPB’s Stour Wood in Wrabness, including the Ghost moth, Beautiful Golden Y, Maidens Blush, Peach Blossom, Large Emerald and Scallop Shell.
The wood is also one of the few sites in Suffolk and Essex where White Admirals,an elegant butterfly of woodland glades is found.
The RSPB is organising two events at Stour Wood in Wrabness this summer focussing on the fabulous variety of moths and butterflies that are found there.
