A Colchester fitness instructor has taken on a franchise.

Elms Fitness has been developed over ten years by Chris Elms, with the bootcamp- style fitness sessions.

Mark Stonebank is the Colchester franchise owner of the brand and can expect up to 250 members and a turnover of £180,000.

He said: “I’ve always been interested in personal fitness but was daunted at the prospect of opening my own gym.

“Finding the Elms Fitness Concept was a great opportunity to take advantage of an already tried and tested business model.

“With constant guidance, support and a good structure, I never felt on my own.

I am now enjoying running a fully operational Elms Personal Fitness Club with a good membership base, a concept that is getting great results for people.”

The concept offers group personal training sessions run at set times every day. A trained gym instructor supports members through their whole session.

Across East Anglia it has more than 600 members and has provided training to more than 2,000 people at its other branches in Chelmsford
and Braintree since it began in 2003.

Mr Elms, from Chelmsford, said: “I decided to set up the Elms Fitness Concept as a franchise opportunity as it seemed like the perfect stepping stone for a personal trainer or fitness professional to own and
operate their own club, with a unique concept and proven business model”.
