I know we didn`t see `eye to eye` in recent years-but I still mourn the passing of John (known formerly as `Tubby` to his friends)
I had known him since I first came to Clacton in the late sixties of the last century-I remember his doughnut stall on the sea front at Martello beach(just outside where Butlin`s camp was)
He and I had many conversations as he lived on the other side of a dividing wall to a mutual friend in Cambridge road.
Rest well-Tubby.
