A PASSIONATE dog walker wants fundraisers to put their best feet and paws forward for a sponsored stroll.

Kayleigh Jennings, 28, is hosting a charity dog walk from the field next to Toby Carvery in Clacton town centre to Holland Haven Country Park.

The proceeds will go to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Up to 90 people have registered an interest in the walk on Saturday, June 3, which can be done with or without a dog.

Kayleigh, of Clacton, is completing the walk with her first client – nine-year-old rescue dog Poppy.

She said: “It’s a charity that has always been quite important me and I’ve always been an animal lover so now I have the network of people, I thought why not get everyone together to raise money.

“Everyone who’s coming is a dog lover and it will be nice to socialise with the dogs.”

A fully-trained personal trainer will lead a fun warm-up before setting off.

People with older dogs can leave the walk at the halfway point - Clacton Pier.

Mum-of-two Kayleigh has seen £40 donated online so far, but hopes to raise about £500 in total.

She added: “I plucked that figure from the air - something is better than nothing.”

Walkers should meet at 10.30am.
