A SEAFRONT paddling pool could get a new lease of life after becoming silted up with mud.

The sea water pool on Brightlingsea’s Western Promenade is more than 30 years old.

Tendring Council is looking at how much it would cost to restore the popular facility.

Brightlingsea councillor Alan Goggin said the pool provided a safe place for young children to play and was enjoyed by families, but he admitted the mud was causing problems.

“The restoration of this site has been looked at in the past, but it is a case of identifying the funding,” he said.
