TWO chippies will be offering up a great value meal deal to celebrate Norway Day.
The Norwegian Seafood Council is offering up 16 tonnes of cod to 99 fryers across the UK on May 17.
It will allow British chippies to sell portions of cod and chips for 99p.
Johnny Mac’s Plaice, in Church Road, Brightlingsea, and Golden Fillet, in Frinton Road, Holland-on-Sea, will both be serving up cheap chips.
Paul Cook, owner of Golden Fillet, said: “I know that our customers will enjoy the delicious Norwegian cod and chips on offer - and they will certainly enjoy the prices too.”
