ESSEX County Council is backing plans to create more apprenticeships.
The Essex apprentice programme provides funding to businesses as an incentive to employ apprentices aged 16 to 24 in a variety of sectors.
Deputy leader Kevin Bentley said: “We are committed to helping young people in Essex achieve their full potential through learning as well as supporting employers to generate wealth, jobs and opportunity.
“Apprentices have a hugely positive impact on business and the local economy. I would encourage anyone thinking about taking on an apprentice to contact us and take the leap.”
