A BANK branch will close in July due to a drop in the amount of customers using it.
Natwest, in Victoria Place, Brightlingsea, which employs four members of staff, will close on July 25.
A spokesman said: “The Brightlingsea branch is only open for 25 hours a week and only 41 customers regularly use the branch each week.
“Where possible we aim to redeploy staff to nearby branches and keep compulsory redundancies to a minimum.
“After the closure, Brightlingsea customers will be able to withdraw cash, check balances and pay bills free of charge at the town’s post office."
Restrictions will also be lifted for customers with basic accounts to be able to use other ATMs in the area.
The bank's Dovercourt branch will also close on the same day.
