FIRE crews have been called to a blaze at a pub in Clacton.
Three crews, from Clacton and Weeley, were called to Tom Peppers in Marine Parade West shortly at 4.40pm on Thursday.
It is understood there is a fire on a flat roof at the back of the site.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident commander reports that the roof is well alight, crews are using two hose reel jets."
The building is currently undergoing refurbishment.
The brigade said the blaze was out by 5.50pm. There does not appear to be any extensive damage.
