TOWN councillors recommended refusal of a plan to build three homes in Great Holland.
The outline planning application was launched to build on land south of Hamilton Road.
But nearby residents have voiced fierce opposition to the plans and Frinton and Walton town councillors recommended refusal.
Councillor Alec Moss said: βIt is an area of land that has been restored back to an open space and ideally we would want to keep it like that.β
Councillors also raised concerns over the highways access and drainage issues.
They recommended refusal but Tendring Council will have the final say on the application.
