Clacton: Teen suffers serious injuries in late-night unprovoked attack

A TEENAGER from Clacton was injured in an unprovoked attack after a night out.

The 19 year-old victim, who lives in Clacton, suffered serious facial injuries and needed hospital treatment after the assault early on Saturday morning.

He was walking home from a night out in the town centre with a friend when the incident unfolded.

The teen was jumped by a man in his 20s, believed to be a complete stranger.

It happened near Clacton railway station, by the junction of Station Road and Carnarvon Road, at about 3.15am on Saturday.

The victim suffered facial injuries and severe bruising. He was taken to hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his early 20s, about 5ft 11inches tall and of slim build.

During the attack he was wearing a black hooded top with a black scarf pulled across his face.
