BUS routes around Clacton, Jaywick and Walton have been altered by First Buses.

Changes have been made to four routes from Monday February 3.

The 5-5B service from Flatford Drive to Clacton town centre has been altered, with the main service now running beyond Flatford Drive to Brook Retail Park Tesco every 30 minutes until 3.30pm.

Revisions have also been made to the 7-7X-8 service running between Clacton and Walton, with the bus now running via Clacton Morrisons.

Its first journey on weekdays has also been changed from 7.05am to 7am to provide commuters with a better connection to the 7.45am train to London.

The 10-11-12 services from Telford Road to Jaywick have been extended from Telford Road to Clacton Factory Outlet between 9.15am and 4.15pm.

And the 16-17-17A-18 services from Clacton to Point Clear have also been revised. Buses 17 and 18 will now run all day, with the 16 and 17A variants withdrawn.

The county council says the alterations were put in place to help boost the reliability of the service and help residents reach more areas.

Full time tables will be released early in 2014.
